Who is Ella Mac?
HI, I'm Lisa, the founder and designer of Ella Mac. I started my clothing label out of pure frustration, when I couldn't find any flattering clothes to suit my square chubby shape. I didn't want to hide my body or squeeze into the latest trend - I just wanted comfortable flattering clothes that were easy to wear and made me look and feel good about myself.
Ella Mac launched in December 2022 where I attended local markets. I opened a beautiful boutique in Casino Northern NSW 2 years ago. I have recently closed my shop to focus 100% online and to also offer Ella Mac to the wholesale market.
Every piece I design is guided by my original goal: flattering styles, relaxed silhouettes, beautiful fabrics, and clothes designed for real women living real lives. Ella Mac isn't about trends. It's about feeling comfortable, confident and truly yourself, while receiving more compliments than you've ever had before! And you will see me as "the model" throughout the website - no AI or editing, just a real person showing you real clothes.
I manufacture my clothing in Bali with my amazing team who lovingly handmake all pieces. I create my collections in small batches, continually adding or adjusting styles and changing colours and prints regularly. I use 100% quality rayon fabrics that feel beautiful to wear and are easy to look after. Oh, and if you're wondering why I'm always wearing my hat? It started at the markets for sun protection - and it just stuck to somehow become part of me and my brand.
And finally, this cute little human is my first granddaughter, Ella. I named my label after her, with the intention of one day being able to tell her the story of Ella Mac - that you can be any size and shape and still feel good about yourself while looking amazing!

I'm honestly blown away by these dresses. They are everything I've been searching for - unique creative and actually breathable. It feels like every store in the US only offers polyester these days, and I was so tired of wearing fabrics I feel heavy and synthetic.

I am 4ft8in and 68 kilo. So as one can imagine I find dress shopping frustrating as I am small around the shoulders and larger everywhere else.
At last I have found a lovely lady who not only designs but understands real women’s styles.
